Emma Donoghue's Oscar nomination for best adapted screen play for Room
Congratulations to Emma Donoghue, past Western writer in-residence, for her Oscar nomination for best adapted screen play, for Room. Emma was also nominated for, and indeed won the award for best adapted screen play at the Canadian Screen Awards. In fact Room cleaned up at the Screen Awards in Toronto winning the best film award among many others. And finally, Telefilm Canada presented Emma with the Golden Box Office Award for the top Canadian English-language feature which earned at least $1 million at the box office in the previous year.
